Dave Wedderburn

Dave Wedderburn is Head of External Communications, EMEA, at Red Hat, where he leads PR, social media and partner communications across the region. Since joining Red Hat in 2018, he has worked at the intersection of media relations, executive visibility and ecosystem communications, helping position the business and its leaders around issues including AI, digital sovereignty and open source.

His work focuses on a question facing communications teams everywhere: how do you use AI to move faster without losing the judgement, relevance and human thinking that make communication effective? Dave also champions a more integrated approach to PR, social and stakeholder engagement, connecting in-house teams, agencies and partners around clear, consistent communication.
